Founded in 2023 by Lucy Pink and Hannah Hardy-Jones, Contented transforms business conversations into actionable documentation. The Christchurch-based AI platform captures audio from meetings and calls, then converts them into structured outputs, including meeting minutes, risk registers, action items, social media posts, and compliance reports.

Lucy and Hannah met at Ministry of Awesome while working on separate startups. When ChatGPT launched in late 2022, they began consulting together, teaching businesses how to use AI. By mid-2023, they realised existing tools were inadequate, so they built Contented from scratch.

Contented has grown to 200+ customers worldwide and generated over $1.4 million in annual recurring revenue entirely through word-of-mouth and bootstrapping. Customers include Christchurch Airport, Synlait, Craigs Investment Partners, and Alliance Group.

In February 2025, Contented closed a $4.1 million seed round, which will be used to push into new markets, including the US and UK, and to build out their marketing and engineering teams.
