These sessions are hosted by Icehouse Ventures'. Each session has guest speakers sharing their experience from international markets to inspire the growth and development of New Zealand's startup ecosystem.
Designed for directors and managers of entrepreneurial support programmes in New Zealand. These could be programmes, accelerators or incubators run by universities, charities or economic development agencies.

Aotearoa’s startup ecosystem is regularly compared to the early days of Silicon Valley. Serial startup founder and investor Jason Kerr, has launched and scaled startups in the US and NZ and Alice Chan landed in San Francisco in 1998 and has held numerous C-Suite roles at US & NZ based startups incl. Xero, Power by Proxi (sold to Apple), they’ll share their experiences to provide inspiration for the potential possibilities of the ecosystem we’re working to develop.

A strong team for an early-stage startup can be the key ingredient for success. This session covers what roles matter most early on and how you can support startups to prioritise and discover the most valuable hires and advisors.
